Who will replace Dan Quinn once he leaves the Cowboys?

The Dallas Cowboys must fill a huge void in their coaching staff after the Washington Commanders hired defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as their new head coach on Thursday.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, it's unclear whether the 2021 Assistant Coach of the Year will bring Cowboys coaches to Washington, such as defensive backs coach Al Harris or defensive line coach Aden Durde.

Schefter stated that each may be a DC contender for the Commanders if Dallas allows them to be interviewed.

According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Harris, Durde, and secondary coach Joe Whitt Jr. are all potential in-house replacements.

These alternatives make sense for the Cowboys because each has worked under Quinn for the previous three seasons.

However, none have DC or HC experience. Mike McCarthy, who is entering the final year of his contract, might like this.

According to Machota, additional contenders on the Cowboys' radar include former Titans HC Mike Vrabel, former Vikings HC Mike Zimmer,

former Commanders HC Ron Rivera, and former Giants DC Wink Martindale.Rivera appears to be the most likely pick if Dallas leaves the organization.
