Outlander season 7 episode 2 recap: Nothing but goodbye

WARNING: There are spoilers for "The Happiest Place on Earth," the second episode of Outlander season 7 in this piece. [View our recap of Outlander's first episode in season seven]

Outlander season 7 returned to the Ridge some weeks after the events of the first episode,

rather than providing fans with closure on Richard Brown's fate (let's face it, Jamie probably killed him).

The season premiere had left viewers hanging. Everything ought to be well in the Frasers' life now that Claire is not being accused of murder, right? Alright, slow down, Sassenachs.

Let's examine how "The Happiest Place on Earth," a fresh twist for the characters in Outlander, is handled.

Allan Christie is one more figure that needs to be addressed in Outlander before we can fully move on from the storylines of season 6. Season 7's second episode opens with Allan and Claire having a heated conversation outside of Malva's tomb.

It becomes evident that the siblings had an incestuous relationship as Alan sobs over his sister's final resting place and admits that he loved her a little too much (what is this, House of the Dragon?).

When Claire learns that Allan was actually the murderer, her suspicions about Tom Christie being Malva's killer are strengthened.
