LeBron James and Anthony Davis to miss Celtics game amid Lakers' strife

The Lakers will be without LeBron James and Anthony Davis against the Celtics, marking the first time this season that neither of their two biggest talents will be available.

The Lakers reported that Davis has bilateral Achilles tendinopathy and a left hip spasm, while James has left ankle peroneal tendinopathy.

It comes after the Lakers lost two consecutive games by a wide margin, with James sharing an hourglass emoji on social media after Tuesday's loss in Atlanta.

Davis addressed with reporters during shootaround in Boston on Thursday morning, saying his injuries were improving.

"I feel a little better," he explained.Hours later, he and James were demoted.

Following Thursday's game in Boston, the Lakers will play two more games on their road trip, in New York and Charlotte.

These are the Lakers' final three games before the NBA trade deadline.
