Giannis Antetokounmpo reacted to Damian Lillard's Portland reception.

Damian Lillard, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar, has already expressed his gratitude to the Portland Trail Blazers fans for welcoming him back in his first game since his offseason blockbuster deal.

It was a memorable moment for the 33-year-old, as the home fans gave him a standing ovation that will stay with him for the rest of his life.

The wonderful reception Dame received at the Moda Center on Wednesday night must have touched everyone in the building.

This included Bucks hero Giannis Antetokounmpo, who had an emotional response to Lillard's memorable moment, according to Eric Nehm of The Athletic.

"This is why we play the game," Antetokounmpo stated. "Dame has lived here for 11 years and has literally built this house, as far as I can recall.

From the moment I entered the league and moved to Portland, you had to go through Dame in order to win. It was quite hard.

There are some cities in the NBA — ask other players — where it's difficult to win, and I thought Portland was always one of them.

Just from the way he played, the enthusiasm he brought to the game, the way he conducted himself, and the way he led his team."
