76ers Star Joel Embiid Suffers Torn Meniscus in Left Knee, per Report

It seems highly possible that the Philadelphia 76ers will be without their key center Joel Embiid for a considerable amount of time coming up.

According to a report that was published on Thursday by Shams Charania of The Athletic,

Embiid suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee earlier this week. It has been reported by Adrian Wojnarowski

on ESPN that Embiid will be sidelined "through the weekend" while the medical

at the company works to decide the next steps for treatment.

It is not known how much time Embiid will be absent from a game.

This season, Embiid has played in 34 games and has averaged a league-high 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game at the point of play.

The Philadelphia 76ers finished their first 46 games with a record of 29–17, which was good enough for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
