"What country music is all about," Randy Travis said as he was honored for his famous career after having health problems.

Randy Travis is one of the biggest country music stars of all time, and the world of country music is ready to honor him and bring attention to a health problem that changed his life in a big way.

Travis is known for hits like "Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart," "Deeper Than the Holler," and "Forever and Ever, Amen." A show called "A Heroes and Friends Tribute to Randy Travis" will honor him.

Before the show in October, the singer talked to Fox News Digital about his long and successful career with the help of his wife, Mary.

Randy has trouble speaking because he had a massive stroke in 2013 and was left with aphasia. He said that the fact that so many country stars are coming together to honor his work means "a lot" to him.

"It means a lot to him," Mary said, adding that she mostly talks for her husband. "Just to know that he made the music that he did and that it still sounds good today."

When you can't sing the music, tributes will be paid to you, and someone else will step in and do it for you. Some of the best artists will say, "Hey, I want to be one of those who sings your music,"

even though they already have a lot of their own music out there. "But it's like, 'I just want to give this time and energy to singing your music because it made a difference in my life,'" she said. Randy smiled and agreed.

Randy's huge discography is "the hymn of country music," according to Mary, who told Fox News Digital that his songs "kind of do that for people." To them, they take them back to a very important time and place.
