Tom Holland's Avengers bonus sent to Tom Hollander in error

A million dollars in your account by accident is rare. A paycheque intended for Spider-Man actor Tom Holland was sent to The White Lotus star Tom Hollander.

Hollander told Late Night presenter Seth Meyers: "The accounts department was confused when we temporarily worked with the same agencies.

"It's been very difficult, because you know I was here first but he's enormously famous," he said. Hollander said he saw a friend getting paid £300 at the theatre and found the unintentional payment.

"I sat smugly in the audience having just done a BBC show for £30,000 or something which was going to get me through the next year or so, and I was thinking, 'Well, this is marvellous, I'm very prosperous.'"

At the break, he checked his inbox and noticed a "Box office bonus for The Avengers" payslip.

"It was an astonishing amount of money," 56-year-old told Meyers. It wasn't his pay. He got his first box office bonus. Just the first box office bonus. I'd never seen that much money. It cost seven figures."

He said, "My feeling of smugness disappeared." Holland, dating Euphoria star Zendaya, has played Spider-Man in six MCU films.

Hollander: "In non-visual circumstances, I'm often mistaken for him.
