Swift superfans, or "Swifties," thought that Rodrigo's recent single "Guts" off Swift's upcoming album was about the pop singer.

Rodrigo's lyrics for her track "The Grudge" seemed to be about a poor relationship or companionship she previously liked.

"I have nightmares every week about that Friday in May, when one phone call from you changed my entire world," the lyrics read.

"[T]he grudge is so much about Taylor that I'd put my life on it," one Swift fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"So we're just ignoring that the grudge is most definitely about Taylor......," another irritated fan remarked.
