Should Claire have prioritized fairies and exorcisms in Outlander?

Based on what she knows about the modern world, Claire is correct in several instances.

But occasionally in the Outlander novels, she would wish to pause and consider an idea before dismissing it.

I'm sure that if we all traveled back in time, we wouldn't truly believe that demons possess children or that changelings exist.

Yes, Claire's realization that there were actual medical issues was understandable in some ways.

She had just gone through a series of stones to travel back in time, so you would think she would have been a little more receptive to the possibility of certain things.

Although it's probably for the best that she disregarded some of the theories and anecdotes, she shouldn't have leapt to the conclusion that something couldn't have happened.

Claire is a bit of a hypocrite. She will only accept information that she has personally saw or experienced.

Until she witnesses Master Raymond curing her with his own hands, she doesn't really absorb what he says.

Never expect Outlander Season 8 in 2024.
