Lainey Wilson is unquestionably one of the biggest success stories in country music in 2023.
She entered the 57th CMA Awards as the night's top nominee and emerged as the night's top winner, with five trophies, including the most coveted prize,
Entertainer of the Year. Wilson enjoyed a successful acting career on "Yellowstone" and spent the summer opening stadium gigs for Luke Combs, whom she beat out for awards show medals.
She is aware that many eyes are on her right now, and her position in the spotlight is not one she takes lightly - or for granted.
"I think that we are in a very pivotal time right now in country music," Wilson told the crowd. "I'm honored to be a part of this generation of country music artists."
