Fans are devastated by Jason Kelce's retirement.

According to reports, Jason Kelce is leaving the NFL.

Following the Philadelphia Eagles' Monday, January 15 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ESPN reports that the center made his plans to retire from professional football known to his colleagues.

After the game, an obviously upset Kelce told his fellow Eagles in a private locker room meeting, "No guys, not today," declining to speak to media.

In October 2023, Kelce first aroused rumors that this might be his final NFL season and made hints that he was refocusing on his post-NFL career aspirations.

"We took on a lot last year, and it ended up working out really, really well for Travis and I at the end of the season," he stated to The NFL Report.

"Well, I believe that's a lot, and I think our family has justified it by saying that this will all be over very soon."

We want to make sure we're prepared for everything after football season ends and, with so many options and possibilities, to decide on our retirement plans, should this year prove to be the right time.

"Additionally, just cherish the few moments you have left with your current group of guys."
