Dillon Brooks fined $25K for ducking media vs. Lakers, but his clown antics could cost him way more than that

Following his "failure to participate in team postgame media availability" during the Memphis Grizzlies'

first-round loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Dillon Brooks was assessed a $25,000 fine by the NBA on Sunday.

That's a fancy way of stating that when the Grizzlies lost some of the series, Brooks cowered down and avoided all the heat he was giving off after Memphis tied the series after Game 2.

As you may remember, Brooks famously called LeBron James "old"

and declared himself to be a professional bear-poker who only gave respect to those who could score forty points against him.

Ironically, the Lakers crushed the Grizzlies 40 times in Game 6 last Friday, defeating them 125-85 to send Memphis into the summer and Los Angeles to the second round of the playoffs.

For Brooks, the following hint I daresay that not a single individual in the NBA, including his own teammates,

gives a damn about earning his respect. Despite his evident wish to be seen in that light, he is not Draymond Green.

Never expect Outlander Season 8 in 2024.
