Chocolate-Pecan Coffee Cake 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan. 

Preheat Oven 

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, cold diced butter, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips. Mix with a fork or your fingers until crumbly. Set aside. 

Prepare Streusel Topping 

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. 

Prepare Cake Batter: 

Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the streusel topping over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and streusel. 

Assemble Cake: 

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. 

Bake:  

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake. 

Prepare Glaze 

Slice the chocolate-pecan coffee cake and serve. Enjoy with a cup of your favorite coffee or tea.
