Bills Reportedly Get Positive Update On Star Linebacker Injured Today

Bills' first-round playoff win against Steelers on Monday may have caused a serious injury.

Terrel Bernard left the game after being carted off in the third quarter. While tackling Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson, the starting linebacker was injured. Bernard seemed to have averted disaster.

The Bills believe he sprained his ankle, according Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

X-rays were negative, but he'll get an MRI on Tuesday. Buffalo's defense relied on Bernard when Tremaine Edmunds left in free agency. The former third-round pick with 143 tackles, 6.5 sacks, three interceptions, and three fumble recoveries in his second season.

He got two pass breakups before leaving Monday's Highmark Stadium contest.

Buffalo's defense, already without Matt Milano and Tre'Davious White, is plagued by injuries. Rasul Douglas, Tyrel Dodson, and Taylor Rapp missed Monday's game, and Baylon Spector, Taron Johnson, and Christian Benford left early.

With two takeaways, they limited the Steelers to 324 yards. Instead of Mason Rudolph, they'll host Patrick Mahomes.

The shoulder issue's severity surprised the Grizzlies. Morant was sore Sunday, and Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins indicated it would be a game-time decision against the Suns.
