After Lions beat Rams, Matthew Stafford criticizes Detroit.

Stafford did not have any postseason success throughout his 12 seasons in Detroit.

During his postgame news conference following a loss to the Lions in the NFC Wild Card game that sent him back to Ford Field, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford made a not-so-subtle dig at the city of Detroit.

Stafford, 35, failed to lead the Lions to a postseason triumph during his 12 seasons in Detroit.

When asked if he was glad for the city, the quarterback responded coldly, which will irritate fans.

"I'm happy for the players," Stafford remarked. "I'm happy for those guys."

Stafford's trade to the Rams in exchange for Jared Goff suddenly appears to be a win-win situation.

One won the Super Bowl,

while the other gave Detroit its first postseason victory in more than three decades.
